Facebook has announced that they will close their analytics tool ‘Facebook Analytics’ this summer. Until now, it has been possible to analyze your campaigns and performance in Facebook’s own analytics tool, but this will no longer be possible. Read more here, if you want to know, how you can save your data, before it is no longer available.

In a post on ‘Business Help Center’ Facebook has explained that Facebook Analytics will be phased out and will no longer be available after June 30th 2021. Until then, however, it is still possible to access your data and insights as well as tables. You will have time to save all the data that Facebook has collected and displayed so far. All you have to do is export this data in a CSV file and download it to your computer.

Go to Facebook Analytics
Click on the arrow in the upper right corner (this function can be found on several of the menu items, such as ‘active users’)
The CSV file is now downloaded to your computer
In the future, you can use several of Facebook’s other tools to see most of the data for your advertising and presence on the medium – both for Facebook and Instagram. We have previously written about ‘Facebook Business Suite’. In this tool you can still manage your accounts in the future and gain access to insights into your target group and trends for these, among other things.

Business Suite is still not available to all users. But after the summer you can also still see the general results for your campaigns – insights such as impressions, clicks and ROAS in the ‘Ad Manager’. The last tool that Facebook refers to instead of Facebook Analytics is the ‘Event Administrator’. In this you can manage your events and set up your Facebook pixel. This tool therefore allows you to view reports for your priority events and the activities performed on your website.

So far, no more information has been released about the phasing out or whether a new analytics tool will be launched from Facebook. Maybe something that can go hand in hand with the new iOS 14 update.
